Theresa L. Goodwin is an Air Force Child and Youth Education Specialist,
School Liaison for the 17th Training Wing, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas.
As Joint Center of Excellence, Goodfellow is the home for over 982 Pre-
Kindergarten thru twelfth grade military connected students. She is responsible for outreach, advocacy, and partnership initiatives that generate real-time solutions for military connected students as they face global educational challenges and transitions. As a School Liaison, she is the base subject matter expert for all Pre-K-12 education and assist military families by providing the most up-to-date local Pre-K– 12th information. She also provides supporting services to Army, Navy and Marine Corps on-base units, as well as Regional military school liaison for 453 campuses and 43 Independent school districts.
Prior to assuming her current position of School Liaison, she was a Training and Curriculum Specialist for Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma. She has served in a variety of operational, strategic and leadership positions to include Pre-K School Director, Site Supervisor, Pre-K classroom Lead, Medical Support Assistant, Exceptional Family Members Coordinator, Medical Financial and Billing and School Age Coordinator. Goodwin began her career in Childhood Development as a civilian in Ravenna, Ohio where she served as an au pair until 1995. In the fall of 2000 Ms. Goodwin re-launched her education and career as a Lead Montessori Teacher in Clinton, MD. Goodwin is a graduate of the University of Maryland.
